1. Mercedes Sharpe (13, Massachuetts, USA):

"I was only 3 years old when Selena died, but i am just finding out about her. I really love her music and i really took an interest on her personality. She was the nicest person ever,i love and miss her, and even though she is gone she is still lives on in our hearts. And in my heart she will ALWAYS stay. I love and miss you selena. RIP"

2. Brenda Martinez (15, Texas, USA):

"I was only 2 growing up in northern california, when i remember my mother playing Selena's precious music. My mother says that i would sing and dance as I still do when i listen to her music. I was five at the time of her death and I remember my brother telling my mom while i was in the back seat what had occured. i began asking questions, like what death meant and my mom slowly explained. The news brought me great discomfort but even more enjoyment of her music. I felt as if she were really there singing to me I'd close my eyes and picture her. To this day she is my favorite singer no one will ever take her place in my eyes. To me Selena truly is La Reina she sang about the truth and i can understand the meanings of her songs. She was the kind of artist that could grasp your attention and keep you there listening waiting for more. I just wish the tragedy wouldn't have occured. I always picture myself hopefully one day being almost as good as she was, i say almost because I believe no one will be as great as she was!!!"

3. Roger Gomez (26, California, USA) of Selena Forever:

"Always Remembered, Always in my Heart."

4. Erica Gonzales (17, Texas, USA):

"Selena meant a lot to me...even though I was young. Her music was awesome then, and still is. When the movie was being filmed, me and my family were extras in her final concert scene. It was awesome being in San Antonio and sharing the love for Selena with her other fans. I can't believe that it's been 10 years. I remember that sad Friday day...it was raining. The radio was playing her songs and I never expected that she would be taken so soon. We love you Selena!"

5. Ashley (13, Illinois, USA):

"I feel very sad that it has been 10 years since this bright star was taken away. I feel empathy for the Quintanilla family, for I feel as if I have lost a loved one as well. Every time I see something of hers on TV or listen to her music or watch her videos, I get a chill up my spine. I don't know if Selena is watching me honor her memory by singing her songs, but I know she is watching her family and is up in heaven. Ten long years have passed without her physical presence, yet somehow I don't feel as if she's gone. I'm glad she is kept alive by her family and her music. I will never forget Selena, for she is my idol. I hope I can be like her someday."

"Selena was a role model to many and just an all around great person. I wish I had a chance to just let her know how much I love her. she stayed true to who she was no matter how famous she became she rememberd where she came from. If only selena were here today she would have been an even bigger super star then she was already. It was a tragedy what happend to her and how her life was cut so short but she lived an incredible life while she was with us. Maybe God placed her here just to show what a beautiful person is supposed to be like. I have never personally met Selena but in a way I feel like I knew her. As a singer myself I hope to one day be half as succesful as she was. Her songs and beautiful voice will never be forgotten not even 10 yrs later. And now, ten years later, here I am on this website, not ever forgetting who she was and who she always will be. God bless."

27. Jessie (16, Texas, USA):

"I remember Selena Thru her songs."

28. Vivi (25, Texas, USA):

"On this the 10th year anniversary of Selena's Death it seems that it was just as it happend all those years ago. I am just thinking about the day and time when I first heard the news that she had died. I was a Sophmore in High School sitting in my Theatre Arts Class working on the School Yearbook that year when someone came in and said 'Hey did you all hear...They Shot Selena, I think she is dead or something...' When I heard that I was like 'Yeah Right' And then they said put on the Radio, so we asked our teacher if we could put the TV and radio on and he said sure, and sure enough there was the guy on the radio saying that Selena was just pronounced dead at the Hospital in Corpus Christi. That day I was interviewed by my local newspaper and I was in shock like most of us. I remember that my mom told me 'why do you like that girl her clothes are too revealing', I was like 'Mom she is an entertainer a woman who uses her art and creativity to express herself'. Later on that weekend I was lucky enough to go to the Selena Boutique and get my hands on a pair of Selena jeans and one of her bra tops that she had designed. I remember signing my name on the wall outside of the store and that has been with me ever since. Yes it is sad that someone so young was taken from us in such a violent way. The movie did help with the grieving process, but in my way of seeing things why grieve and feel depressed about someone who was full of life, I am sure that from Heaven she is proud of each and everyone of us who have not forgotten her life. I know that in these past 10 years Tejano music has not been the same. There are many imitators but no one will be able to replace Selena! But to have been 15 at the time when she was killed does have an effect 10 years later at 25. In those ten years I have grown up to appreciate my culture and the rich musical history that accompanies my Hispanic heritage. Which is one thing I remember hearing Selena say that it was important for us not to forget who we are or where we came from because our roots come from our hertitage. I am surely proud of being Tejana and there is nothing in this world I would trade for it. Gracias a ella que yo puedo a decir que no hay nadein en este mundo que me pueden a quitar lo que mi cultura me dio y eso erra a conecer lo que es siendo una latina positiva, porque la vida no es para siempre pero por un momento en tiempo. Y como Selena estando en este gran mundo por el tiempo que me da dios nunca voy a dejar a saber lo que es siendo una Latina con suenos de ayudar a los ninos saben quien son y quien se puden a hacer en la vida. Like many fans I would like to Thank her family for allowing us to get to see this talented individual come from our state. Tenn. has Elvis,  well TX. got Selena. The only next step for all of us in our lives is to continue to dream big. We, as a people, can unite and make it if we put our minds to it. For me when I see Selena I see all things possible. She is proof that when you dream big, big things come your way. And it is that trait that I miss seeing in famous people who genuinely do not take fame for granted and allow it to run their lives. My final thoughts are these... Yes it was a tradgedy that Selena died but try to see it this way, the Lord put her here, as well as all of us, for a purpose. Her purpose was served when she taught my generation that being Hispanic and knowing your language is nothing to be ashamed about. Be proud. Be Tejano(a)!!! Life is too short to be mourning just be glad that we have stories to share with our kids about a girl from Lake Jackson, TX who wanted just to be girl who made it big in the Music Biz without letting Fame get the best of Her!! And with that I leave my mark on how I feel and Remember Selena on this date March 31, 2005!"

29. Heidi (18, Quebec, Canada):

"Selena is a goddess for me. I didn't know about her before the movie, but since then, I'm such a fan and I adore her. In Canada (Québec), there's not a lot of things about Selena, like CDs and DVDs are really rare. Everything I find, I buy. She's a source of inspiration. I would have liked to have met her so bad. I can't believe 10 years have passed, time goes so fast. But evertytime I think about giving up on something, I think of Selena, she's one of the reasons why I don't give up on things. She's my idol, I have a lot of respect for her and even if I didn't know her, I still miss her and I would have liked to see what she would be doing right now, what kind of sound she would give to her music. Everybody should know about her. Viva Selena para siempre!"

31. Mayra (Canada):

"I met Selena back in 1994 when she went to the Dominican Republic. I was there as a family trip and she happened to be there with Chris and her family. I was at this Restaurant called Caña and she was there eating and laughing and everyone noticed her and knew that 'Selena la cantante' was there! Everyone was talkin really low so that she wouldn't notice them and she kept on looking around and smiling to her fans until my father got up went up to her and said 'Con permiso, usted es Selena verdad?' She smiled and replied with a huge sarcasm 'Si por supuesto!' Then everybody got up to get to talk to her and to touch her hand and to take pictures. Even the German, Portuguese, Japanese and Italian tourists that were there took pictures with her wether they knew her or not. I talked to her for a little and I got to take a picture with her. Everytime I smell the smell of Boucheron Perfume, Selena comes to mind because thats exactly what Selena smelled like, that day anyways!"

From her I learned to keep my head up, to live your life like it's your last, to keep going even when you see everything down, and try to make the best out a bad situation. If you see pictures of Selena, you never see her mad, or sad. She was always laughing, smiling. I am glad that people still listen to Selena after 10 years of the tragedy. I still cry when I see her on the TV or on magazines. I love her. Selena vive por siempre te adoro."

Even though she's not with us anymore, I feel she's right next to me everyday of my life."

I never got to go to a concert but I would see all the shows that she would be in. I will truly miss her, even though she is not dead in my heart. She will always be alive in my heart no matter what happens. I love and miss you, Selena!"

89. Mirabel (23, California, USA):

"My mom actually introduced me to Selena's music. I remember one afternoon while me mom was ironing out clothing and we were flipping stations and "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" came on. My mom said (In Spanish), "Leave it right there! I love this song!" I listened to it and liked it. It was different than what I was listening to at the time (mostly Michael Jackson's music). My mom then went out and bought her "Amor Prohibido" CD and we listened to it in the car on the way to school. The next year, we heard on the radio that Selena had been murdered by her so called “friend” Yolanda Saldivar. I was so upset at the news, because she was quickly becoming one of my favorite artists. Later that summer, my family went on a road trip to Mexico. In Texas, we went to a salon that sold cassette tapes. I think either my mom or one of my sisters was getting a haircut or perm. I begged my dad to buy me the "Dreaming of You" cassette. He made a deal with me. He would buy me the cassette only if I got a perm. So I agreed. I got a perm in order to have the "Dreaming of You" cassette. Since that summer day, I started to purchase Selena’s music. Today, I listen to Selena’s CDs and wished that 10 years ago, her senseless death had never happened. I am sure if she would be alive today, she would have been a grand success in both the Spanish and  English music industries, a beautiful marriage with her husband Chris, and would have been a wonderful mother. She was such a warm person, with a beautiful smile, and contagious laugh that just the thought of her would spread smile on one's face. She also could have shown these “blinged” up music starts a thing or two! We Miss You Selena!  Siempre Vivirás! Mirabel"

I can't believe it's been 10 years, The pain is still here, she was such a sweet person full of life, and her life ended becuase of a stupid decision somebody who claimed to be her best friend made. Selena Vive everywhere Selena rules."

"I never met Selena, but I was born  in the year 1994. I was born and Selena's feet were still on this earth. Selena is so good and I have the desktop theme for Selena. The Selena movie is great. JLO did a great job. Yolanda should of gotten the death penalty. I kept on wondering why she would want to do that to tejano queen. It was so sad for the Quintanilla family to be told that there daughter has died. Selena's fans were so sad. I feel sad about the fact that she died so young. I love her cds and her pictures. I even started a selena scrapbook of all pictures of Selena. Selena lives in my corazón!"

107. Bruno (20, Brazil):

Unfortunately, I did not get to experience how great she was until she was gone. After her death, I started learning her songs, taking Spanish classes at school, and believing in my own dream. She has been such an inspiration to me, as I'm sure she is to many. Selena was such a great person and her personality and the way she treated each and every person she met was amazing. She deserves to be remembered for as long as the Earth is spinning. She and her family will remain in my heart and prayers. God Bless....Para Siempre Selena."

116. Sara (11, New York, USA):

"The first time I ever heard of Selena was when I was in Pennsylvania. The Selena movie was on. I watched it and I started to like it. Then a few years later I asked my mom if the Selena movie was true. So I went to the library and got a selena cd. It was "Ones" I listened to it a lot. I memorized every single word of that cd. I liked the cd so asked my mom to buy it for me. She did and it came with a free extra dvd with it of all of her videos. I liked it, so I started praticing to look like Selena, dance like Selena, and sing like Selena. Now I can do that. It so easy once you watch her concerts. I bought my 2nd Selena cd. It was "exitos y recuerdos" I liked it. When I was watching the Selena extra dvd, it had a list of all her cds and I saw the one "the last concert" so I asked my dad to reserve the Selena last concert dvd. I saw it and I loved it. I rented the cd "greatest english hits" and it had bonus tracks from the last concert, or should I say "disco medley". I memorized every step, breath, word, move and pose. I saw the disco medley at the end of the Selena movie. That's how I memorized it. I noticed this site when I was watching the Selena movie, a girl at her concert was holding up a sign that said "SELENA LA REINA" so I typed it in thinking it was a website and it was! I got my third Selena cd when I was at borders. It was the soundtrack to the movie (but it was the real Selena singing). It had a mix of a whole bunch of songs mixed together. So I wanted to buy my fourth Selena cd. I got it at borders. ("the last concert CD") It came with a free dvd of the last concert. That was a good deal for $25.00! I also memorized that whole cd. It was very hard because it is a live concert but I did it! I started a Selena scrapbook. It has photos of her. I also save all the rare photos of her on my computer. So Selena, you will be always here even though you're up above, but you are an angel watching over us. You will always have a huge spot in my heart. I LOVE YOU SELENA! YOU WILL BE IN MY HEART FOREVER! I MISS YOU AND I WISH YOU WERE STILL HERE! I LOVE YOU SEL!"

I know you watch down on us from up above with that big pretty smile!"

127. Rosalyn Hernandez (USA):

"I grew up with Selena, I'm a Mexican-American, just like her. I was three when I first remembered hearing her and loved the spanish words she used. They were so meaningful and I won't even explain the power of her voice! I will always remember her beautiful smile that could light up anything and her endless energy when she performed. It's been ten years now since her tragic death and I'm still here remembering her ten years later ... until forever. Viva Selena!"

128. Yadira Aguilar (10, USA):

"I remember Selena as a great person who reached her goals and then she reached the sky."

129. Lina (20, Montréal, Canada):

"Music is everything to me. It is the love of my life and the life of my heart. I feel many different emotions when I listen to music or sing music. But when I hear Selena sing, her breathtaking voice takes me away like an out of body experience. And I try to imagine what she was feeling at that moment while singing that song. And it's almost as if I feel the same emotions she did when she was singing. Not many artists can do that, but she could do it almost with an ease that you can hear in her voice. And I think that's what makes her a true star. And her fans can keep her alive through her music. So to me, she will always be alive through her songs. If you just listen carefully, you will understand."

130. Jessica Ruiz (19, Arizona, USA):

"I remember when my mom told me after I got out of school, I was like 10 yrs old, that Selena got shot and didn't make it. I thought she was lying because she told me this on April Fools and I was like "yeah right" so when we got home that day she turned on the TV and put the noticias on at 5pm and sure enough it was true. I couldn't stop crying. I fell asleep that night crying. Ever since that night I started dancing to her music and I even did a couple shows here, dancing and singing her music. Selena is my #1 role model and always will be."

131. Alisa (10, Texas, USA):

"The reason I remember Selena is because all of my cousins told me about Selena but when they told me about her death I started crying I would never stop crying unless they would give me some ice cream. And the funniest is that I was born on june 8, 1995. When I was like seven years old my mother bought me the Selena movie and I was so glad as soon as I got home I saw it. I wrote a letter to Selena. Now since I have been growing up so fast if I do become a singer or a actor or whatever, I am going to put Selena that is the woman who inspired me. I miss you I love you and I wish you were here."

132. Taquaisha (USA):

Sound like a dreamer today, but tommorow I will be somebody like Selena."

134. Lexi (13, Pennsylvania, USA):

"I was only five when Selena died, so I never got to see her in concert or remember hearing of her. But when I was about seven, my friend played the song 'Dreaming of You'. I instantly fell in love with her voice. I remember just laying on my bed learning the words. After about a couple months I got my parents to rent the movie. I loved the way her life was. I decided to look up more about her and learn more. Well I just got hooked on her music and collecting memorabilia. It's been ten years now and I'm now 13 years old and even though I never got to see Selena in concert, or meet her in person I fell like she is a part of my family. Like she is my sister or something. I want to be just like her when I grow up. I would love for my music to touch the lives of many just like her's did. RIP SELENA!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! I like to write stories. little chapter books, and every single one I write the main person likes Selena! every book..... I feel that if I ever become a famous singer, or author that I can make other generations see who Selena was and see how important she was to everyone in her time........ Maybe help her memory and legend stay alive for generations to come....."

135. Yolanda (USA):

"Selena has been a wonderful role model for a lot of girls and women. She was a talented singer & dancer. The sky was the limit for her, until her untimely death. Selena really meant a lot to me, and she still does. Selena's music will live on for years and years to come. May God rest her soul."

136. Lucy (Florida, USA) creator of the VivaSelena Yahoo group:

"I miss Selena so much that I think about her all the time. Her smile, her personality, her outfits, the old days when she was alive. I wish she could still be here. I have much more respect for her than I do with todays celebrities. She's nothing like them. She was so someone you could really relate to. Sweet, down-to-earth, and caring. When I listen to her songs and watch her on tv., I feel happy because she get to see alive. When it all ends, I cried and cried and soon I get really angry* on how she was killed. I really wish I could remember what I was doing on the day she died. The only thing I remember from early '95 was my 7th birthday the month before she was killed. I was so young and I was completely unaware of what was going on because I never really like watching the news because I found it to be so boring. I miss the old days. I miss having fun and being happy. These days suck! I wish Selena could be here right now taking on the music charts. That would be so cool! If we could just hear her name again. "I'll always have you...inside of me...even though you're gone...love...in the public eye I like I don't care...when no one's watching me...I'm crying...I just think of your smiling face...I'm flying..." I miss her so much!"

"Selena is my hero! It's just so sad she's gone. I can't believe it's been ten years. I love her so much that I play her songs everyday, especially Dreaming of You, I love that song! Even though I was only three when she died, I feel like a huge chunk of my happiness went away with her. To this day, she's still my hero and idol. I miss her so much I could just cry! REST IN PEACE SELENA!"

138. Sophia Vargas (16, Texas, USA):

"Selena to me was a great role model who taught me to be me and remember where I came from. I met Selena when I was 5 years old when she went to my school (Fannin Elementary) with her mom and Suzette. Its been pretty rough trying to remember why she had to go... but at least I know she's in a better place... my family and I went to her funeral... we bought everything there was of Selena (CDs, shirts, caps, other stuff like that) just to keep the memories of how she lived and that no matter what happens she would always be in our hearts. Now I sing her songs from memory and I've had people tell me that I sing like her and things like that but I tell people that there is only one person who can sing like her and that's her. She is a very unique person who cared about anything and everything there was to care about, so her songs helped me get through some tough times in my life thats why I'll always remember her for who she was not who she was going to be. May her soul RIP and we will alwayz love and miss you... Selena la reina por vida."

139. U.N. Owen (25, New York, USA):

"I really love Selena and miss her a lot. When I saw the movie I broke out in tears. I'm really happy for what she accomplished. She had put such effort and potential in everything she accomplished. I know that God is telling her this in someway that she will forever remember."

142. Keia. S. (25, Oklahoma, USA):

"Selena has opened so many eyes, so many doors, and so many hearts. I wasn't lucky enough to ever meet here or even see a concert. But I have always loved her music. Since I've listened to Selena, I'v listened to all sorts of latin music. I learned all kinds of spanish. I think it's something that's important to know. Nearly half the planet speaks the language. She has shown that her people are good and hard working and that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. She seemed like such a good and kind person. I feel a pain everytime I think about the fact that there will never be a chance that I will see her in concert. But I do listen to her everyday. Hers' was a huge loss to some many, I do think that she would have done anything in her power to help anyone. We have lost so many great artists who were bring power to there people. Maybe God needed them more than us. I am sure someday in some shape or form we will see "Selena la reina" again. I remember her as a performer who got out there and gave it everything she had in every performance that I saw her in, I love a performer who you can tell that they feel and believe in the music they are making and singing. I love it when an artist can make you and me both feel it too, and that's just what she did. She made you feel it, even when you didn't understand it."

143. U. N. Owen (25, New York, USA):

"I remember Selena singing and dancing and smiling. I miss her voice and I miss her a lot and I wish she was still living. I have a white rose in a glass cup. I have it near my idol's photo. I have it near one of the photos for Coca-Cola that she did and Selena loved white roses and I love her and miss her."

144. Elizabeth Nunez (14, California, USA):

I love you Selena and you will always be remembered forever."

147. Amy Reyes (19, Florida, USA):

"So I was thinking the other day...what would life be like if Selena was here? Heck, there would probably be no Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and even J-Lo for that matter. After all, Selena made her career. I have just recently become a Selena fan. Mostly because I was brought up more American and have not had touch with my latin roots until just a few years ago. I was also very young when she passed away. I think if Selena were here today, she would take the music world by storm. She did in fact make reggaeton. I enjoy her music and I enjoy the way she touched people and made them want to persue their dream. I hope to one day thank her for making my dancing career."

148. Leonora Alvarez Rosario (48, Puerto Rico):

"SELENA ... means to me the greatest example of what an artist should be ... in all senses. No other artist in this world cares about her fans the way she did, and I really miss her a lot! I think about her everyday and she will be in my memory all my life. I can't mention one particular thing that I like best from her ... because everything about her was magical and an inspiration to every people she touched with her music. I will never gave up on you SELENA ... I'll send you my love ... wherever you are!  SELENA ... THE FLOWER THAT WILL NEVER FADE!"

149. Leonora Alvarez Rosario (48, Puerto Rico):

"Every Sunday I use to pray two hours early in the morning ... and somehow ... when I'm ready to start my prayers ... I just feel that SELENA is besides me ... that she can read, hear and even know what I'm thinking of in that very moment. It's like that ... she knows ... that I'm doing prayers in her honor too ... and light a candle in her name ... and put a white rose in her honor. I guess she realizea that I always remember her ... that I support her ... and never will gave up on her.  Maybe it's silly ... but I used to think that she really understood how much her fans love her and support her, no matter what! ... and she is right ... we will never forget her ... because she is just unforgettable to us!  SELENA ... I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU! OUR FLOWER, OUR STAR , OUR ANGEL ... FOREVER, AND EVER, AND EVER!"

150. Evelien & Dorien V. (17, Vosselaar, Belgium) creators of the Quintanilla-Pérez Stuff site:

"We have been fans of Selena (y Los Dinos) since 1999, when we saw the movie 'Selena' for the first time. Being from Belgium, we had no other way to get to know her. After we saw the movie, we wanted to find out more about Selena’s life and music. It wasn’t long before we had compiled three huge file folders filled with information about Selena, her band, her family, etc... Ask us anything about Selena and we'll probably be able to find the answer for you somewhere. Our parents and our brother don't understand why we suddenly got so into her, but for some reason we did.

It wasn't until October 2004 that we ordered our first real thing, 'The Last Concert DVD'. Then on the 23rd of December 2004, we found the 'Todos Mis Exitos' CD here in a Belgium music store. It was like a miracle. Not too long afterwards, we found the 'Todos Mis Exitos II' CD in a music store in Holland. We’ve also managed to get the 1995 People Magazine Selena Tribute, Mi Gente Magazine’s Commemorative Issue 2005, Selena’s Secret (we tried to order the book 'Como La Flor', but the shop cancelled our order for some reason) and we also have Selena the movie and 'Don Juan Demarco' (it’s one of our favorite movies).

We did 'Con Tanto Amor' on an open stage day at our school and we’re working on making Selena more well known in Belgium by telling everyone about her (more than they want to hear sometimes) and by bugging the CD shops with the question 'Do you have anything of Selena?' over and over again. We hope they can come to their senses about Selena and Tejano music in general because we can’t find anything Tejano over here. Selena makes our day every time we hear one of her songs. We get up in the morning and we go to sleep at night with her music playing. When we have a bad day, we just listen to Selena and our mood clears up like on a sunny day! Thanks to Selena we really learned to appreciate Tejano music and Latin music in general.

Selena made us a whole lot more sensitive about things like death and dying too soon. At our great grandfather’s funeral we were crying because we lost him, but we also started to cry when we thought of how Selena was taken too soon. Strangely enough we’re more open to other cultures now that we know Selena, we don’t know how exactly, but we are. We always wanted to move to America and now we want to even more because we could find Selena stuff over there. Also thanks to Selena we are currently learning how to speak Spanish. We will always love Selena. Her music, her smile and her spirit will be in our hearts forever. On march 31st... we couldn't stop crying...we listened to KXTN the entire day...and they were talking about her so much that we couldn't keep up with our eyes swelling up with tears... that is how much selena means to us and that will never change!!!!"

153. Donald Diabo (Kahnawake, Canada):

"I have only just found out about Selena in grade two by my friend who had brought in a cd that was really catchy. Years passed since then and when I was 11, I saw the movie and watched it over and over and over and it was a sad movie. I sat on my bed and cried and thought I would become a Selena fan so I can be happy with myself. Now I'm 13 and I have 15 cds and a shirt from the Vive! concert. It's sad, I mean why did Yolanda have to do that? All I wish is that she was with us. I wish we had a time machine and go to that motel and talk some sense in to Yolanda..... But we can't. That's all I have to say. I hope a lot of people will continue to love her music.

               Remembering, Donald Diabo

155. Teheila John (Trinidad and Tobago):

"Selena was sort of like an inspiration to me, I never really new her and I never even lived in the United States, I'm across in the Caribbean but the movie was such an inspiration when I first saw it and then from that time until now I'm hooked on her. She had the most beautiful smile I have ever seen, her life did not even seem real, she had a great family, and the perfect relationship any girl would love. I love her music even the spanish songs and I don't even know spanish, my country is not a spanish speaking country at all and I know almost all of her songs. Selena will always live in my heart/mi corazon she was soooo special and had such a good heart for everyone she would meet...I love you Selena."

156. Jasmin (10, Illinois, USA):

"A wonderful little girl was born, she dreamed of being a fashion designer, her dad made a band with her brother and sister, they became famous but when she met Chris; her new guitarist of her band; they fell in love but her father didn't let her because she was too young. Selena got married without letting her father know. Her father finally excepted Chris in his family and band Iin her fan club, she found her best friend named Yolanda. They went shopping and help Selena in her boutique but when Selena's dad found out that Yolanda was stealing money Yolanda wanted to show it wasn't true.  Selena and Yolanda met in hotel and they started to argue. Yolanda got out her gun and shot Selena in her back they had to take her to the hospital when the doctor came and told Selena's family that Selena had died. A lot of her fans went to her coffin and cried now everybody has her voice/image/memory in their hearts."

158. Latania Brown (16, USA):

"The first time I heard of Selena was when I saw her movie when i was about 9 yrs old at the time. I didn't know this was a true story, the only thing that I was thinking was that this girl was amazing. I didn't actually understand what she was saying but her presence on stage was so phenomenal you couldn't keep your eyes off the movie. And then when I find out that it was a true story I just couldn't stop crying, it was just such a shame this woman's life was cut short over jealousy and infatuation. When I saw that movie I knew I had to buy the vide and I still watch the video till this day. Selena will always be a favorite singer of mine. She brought more excitement to my life because of her I listen to spanish music now. I will always be a big fan of Selena, whether it's 30 or 40 yrs later I will tell my children and grandchildren about Selena. She may not be here on this earth to see but she will always be in our spirits and in our hearts. RIP SELENA."

"The way that I remember Selena is by her voice and her laugh. It was so pretty. She was pretty. I loved her. I love her. I miss her so much I wish we could rewind the time and make Selena not to to the hotel where Yolanda shot her. If I was there with Selena I would have taken that bullet and when I heard about the news I was sad and mad all at the same time. Sad at the fact that that beautiful angel died and mad that Yolanda shot her. Everynight I pray for her to come back one last time. My eyes are filled with tears... I'm so sad... I've been sad for the last 10 years."

"I love Selena she is one of my role models. Selena has made me into a better person and a much more mature young woman, she made me appreciate life more and made me learn to except things for what they are even if its hard to except it. Selena is one of my favorite artist even though im young, I know all of her songs, and I've watched the movie so much I know it line by line. Selena's music always told a story to me and I feel that her songs reflect my life, her music has helped me grow and it has helped me understand things alot more easier and it has also helped me with my spanish lol. I will always love Selena as well many fans and close people to her but I have to admit these 10 years without her has been heartbreaking, even though we all know that she is in a much more better place. I would like to thak those who has created this site because it gives peple a chance to express how they feel and I felt that it was my duty and I had to come here to show her respect and to honor for the person she is and for touching my life as well as other peoples lives. I will miss her and continue to love her."

167. Stacey West (Michigan, USA):

"I remember her smile.  I remember her ability to take a crowd of people and capture their souls and hearts with her song.  I remember her style and ability to dazzle us all with her wardrobes.  I remember her pearly white smile and her gorgeous face that captivated her every move.  I remember her as a woman who started out singing with her father in the back yard to becoming a legend in her time and after she has left us, she still remains as this angel.  Selena, if you knew what people thought of you now, you would be held accountable for making many, many lives happier with your voice and song.  We miss you terribly and look forward to seeing you in the hereafter.  God Bless all Selena Fans."

She was here for the people. She has such a beautiful family that kept it all together. Family, that is what Selena means to me. We are all a family in times of trials and tribulations.
